The church of Agios Ioannis Chrysostomos was founded in a shed by the refugees who lived in the area, the majority of whom were refugees from Ephesus and Kirkitsa.

In Kokkinia in 1923 - 1925 a bath - hammam was built by the Armenian architect Artin Palatzian for the individual cleaning of refugees.

The Katrakio Theatre is the largest modern theatre in the country, with a capacity of 5,356 seats. It is located in Nikaia, on the Andreas Papandreou Hill, also known as “Selepitsari”, in an area of 500 acres. It was built in 1983 among the rocks of old quarries in the area.

The Garden Theater of Nikaia is located within the Municipal Garden in the city center, at the intersection of Kyprou and Prousis Streets. Since the Interwar period, this area was included in the large-scale expropriation of 1927.
